Responsibilities
- Convert audio files into accurate text documents using industry-standard transcription software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure high-quality output, adhering to strict grammar and punctuation rules.
- Research and verify medical terms, abbreviations, and drug names to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding project requirements or technical issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or certification in Medical Transcription is preferred.
- Proven experience in medical transcription or a related administrative role.
- Must have a minimum typing speed of 60 WPM with high accuracy.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific tools (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon).
