Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into written text with high accuracy and speed.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Adhere to specific formatting guidelines and client requirements for each project.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information and data.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity targets and quality standards.
- Use specialized transcription software and tools efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team regarding complex audio or queries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in transcription, preferably in medical, legal, or general transcription.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to distinguish between different accents and audio quality.
- High typing speed (minimum 60 WPM) with exceptional accuracy.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon).
