Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe text into written format.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
- Ensure confidentiality and data security when handling sensitive medical or legal documents.
- Meet strict daily and weekly production quotas and deadlines.
- Use industry-standard transcription software and tools efficiently.
- Research and verify medical or legal terminology to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a quiet, distraction-free workspace to ensure high-quality output.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a transcriptionist or similar role (1+ years preferred).
- Exceptional typing speed (60+ WPM) and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe).
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and vocabulary.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
- Ability to pass a background check and adhere to company compliance policies.
