Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings into clear, accurate, and grammatically correct text using industry-standard software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure high-quality output and adherence to client specifications.
- Manage multiple transcription projects simultaneously while maintaining strict deadlines.
- Research and verify proper names, medical/legal terminology, and proper nouns to ensure context accuracy.
- Submit completed work on time and communicate proactively regarding any delays or technical issues.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client data and sensitive information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in transcription is a plus.
- Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM with high accuracy.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon).
