Responsibilities
- Audio Transcription: Listen to audio files and transcribe spoken words into accurate written text with high precision.
- Format Compliance: Convert raw audio into properly formatted documents adhering to specific client style guides and industry standards.
- Proofreading: Review and edit transcripts to ensure perfect grammar, punctuation, spelling, and flow.
- Deadline Management: Maintain a consistent workflow and meet all daily and weekly production targets efficiently.
- Quality Assurance: Perform self-audits to ensure 99% accuracy in every deliverable.
- Communication: Liaise with the quality assurance team to resolve any discrepancies or unclear audio segments.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Typing Speed: Minimum 60 WPM (Words Per Minute) with high accuracy.
- Language Skills: Native or near-native proficiency in the English language.
- Equipment: Reliable high-speed internet connection and a computer with Windows or Mac OS.
- Experience: Previous transcription experience is highly preferred; general transcription knowledge is a plus.
- Skills: Familiarity with Dragon NaturallySpeaking or similar speech-to-text software is a significant advantage.
