Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into text using industry-standard software (e.g., Express Scribe).
- Maintain a 99% accuracy rate while adhering to strict style guides and formatting requirements.
- Proofread and edit transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, and flow before submission.
- Manage multiple audio files efficiently within tight deadlines.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all client data and medical/legal information.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team to resolve ambiguous audio segments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Must possess a typing speed of at least 60 WPM.
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Proficiency in MS Word and familiarity with transcription foot pedals or keyboard shortcuts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet daily production goals.
- US-based residency required.
