Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into text with a focus on 99%+ accuracy and strict adherence to client formatting guidelines.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors to ensure final documents are polished.
- Manage multiple audio files and prioritize tasks to meet strict daily and weekly deadlines.
- Use industry-standard transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking) efficiently.
- Research and correctly identify industry-specific terminology, medical codes, and legal jargon.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security standards regarding sensitive client information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or certification in transcription preferred.
- Proven experience in medical or legal transcription is a major plus.
- Fluency in English with exceptional grammar and spelling skills.
- Typing speed of 60+ WPM with high accuracy.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
