Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe text into written documents with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
- Format and edit transcripts according to specific client guidelines and industry standards (e.g., medical, legal, general).
- Proofread all output to ensure zero errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and terminology.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patient and client information at all times.
- Utilize specialized transcription software and hardware to ensure seamless workflow.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team to resolve discrepancies and improve performance.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity targets without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional transcription experience (Medical or Legal preferred).
- Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60-70 WPM).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home workspace.
- Strong command of the English language, including advanced grammar and vocabulary.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of medical or legal terminology is a plus.
