Responsibilities
- Convert audio files into clear, accurate, and grammatically correct text documents with a high degree of precision.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure correct punctuation, spelling, and formatting.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and maintain a consistent daily production quota.
- Verify and research specific medical, legal, or business terminology to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive client information and data.
- Utilize industry-standard transcription software and hardware effectively.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding complex audio files or urgent deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in transcription or a related field (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60-70 WPM).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a distraction-free home workspace.
- Ability to listen to audio files and distinguish between speakers clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific tools (e.g., Express Scribe).
