- Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken language into written text.
- Ensure all transcriptions are free of grammatical errors and adhere to specific formatting guidelines.
- Proofread work to verify accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Manage audio files and transcription software efficiently to meet daily production quotas.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team regarding any unclear audio or formatting issues.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and transcription terminology.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a transcriptionist (medical, legal, or general preferred).
- Exceptional typing speed of 60+ words per minute with high accuracy.
- Mastery of MS Word and transcription-specific software.
- Strong command of the English language, including punctuation and grammar.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
