Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings (legal, medical, general) with 98%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive content
- Meet daily transcription quotas while maintaining quality standards
- Format documents according to client specifications (APA, MLA, etc.)
- Utilize advanced transcription tools and software efficiently
- Collaborate with editors to resolve unclear audio segments
- Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Self-edit transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, and clarity
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proven typing speed of 75+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Proficiency in transcription software (Express Scribe, etc.)
- Exceptional listening skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong command of English grammar and punctuation rules
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status required
