Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictation, legal proceedings, and corporate meetings with 98%+ precision
- Format documents according to client specifications (AMA, APA, or custom styles)
- Research and clarify terminology using medical/legal references and style guides
- Maintain strict confidentiality protocols for protected health information (PHI)
- Meet daily production quotas while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Collaborate with quality assurance team to refine transcription processes
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and data security protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience with verifiable samples
- Proficiency in 50+ WPM typing with exceptional accuracy
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology (CPC or CCS certification preferred)
- Mastery of ExpressScribe, Dragon, or similar transcription software
- Fluency in English with superior grammar and editing skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High-speed reliable internet and quiet home workspace
