Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical/legal audio recordings into written documents
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive client information
- Adhere to industry-specific formatting and terminology standards
- Meet daily production targets with 99%+ accuracy requirement
- Utilize specialized transcription software and quality control tools
- Collaborate with editors to resolve discrepancies and improve quality
- Self-manage workflow to meet critical deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- 60+ WPM typing speed with 98% accuracy
- Proficiency in medical/legal terminology (CCHI/CMT preferred)
- Mastery of Express Scribe, oTranscribe, or equivalent software
- High-speed internet connection and noise-canceling headphones
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- US-based citizenship or permanent residency required
- HIPAA/GDPR compliance certification a plus
