Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio/video recordings with 98.5%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA/GDPR protocols
- Format documents according to client specifications (MS Word, PDF)
- Research and clarify unclear terminology using medical/legal references
- Meet daily/weekly production targets while maintaining quality
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and consistency
- Utilize ExpressScribe, Dragon, and other industry software
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proficiency in 65+ WPM typing with 99% accuracy
- Strong command of medical/legal terminology (specialization a plus)
- Reliable high-speed internet and noise-free workspace
- Fluency in English with excellent grammar/punctuation skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
- Experience with audio enhancement tools and quality control
- Professional transcription certification (CMT or equivalent preferred)
