Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings into clear, accurate, and formatted text documents using specialized transcription software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure grammatical correctness, punctuation accuracy, and adherence to client style guides.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive medical, legal, or business information.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity targets without compromising on quality assurance standards.
- Communicate promptly with project managers to resolve ambiguities in audio files or clarify specific terminology.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and transcription technologies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field is preferred).
- Proven experience in transcription (Medical or General) with a portfolio of work available upon request.
- Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60-70 WPM).
- Excellent command of the English language, including a strong understanding of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
- Proficiency in using transcription software such as Express Scribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, or similar tools.
