Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio/video recordings with 99%+ accuracy across diverse industries (legal, medical, corporate)
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA/GDPR compliance standards
- Utilize our proprietary software for file management, editing, and quality assurance
- Meet daily/weekly production targets while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Proofread transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and contextual accuracy
- Research and clarify industry-specific terminology when needed
- Participate in quarterly training sessions to refine transcription techniques
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional transcription experience OR exceptional typing skills (80+ WPM)
- Proficient in English grammar, punctuation, and proofreading fundamentals
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet home office setup
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with ExpressScribe, oTranscribe, or similar transcription software
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of legal/medical terminology preferred but not required
