Responsibilities
- Convert Audio to Text: Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into accurate, readable text with high precision.
- Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation while maintaining the original meaning and speaker context.
- Adhere to Guidelines: Follow specific client formatting instructions and style guides to ensure consistency across all deliverables.
- Meeting Deadlines: Complete assignments within the specified turnaround time to maintain client satisfaction.
- Audio Editing: Use transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe) to edit audio files, remove silence, and distinguish between speakers.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; prior transcription or medical/legal terminology experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and transcription software is essential.
- Internet: Reliable, high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace are mandatory.
- Language: Native or near-native proficiency in English with exceptional grammar and vocabulary skills.
