Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken words into written text.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors.
- Adhere to specific client guidelines, terminology, and formatting requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and accuracy targets.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding complex audio files or technical issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in transcription or medical/legal transcription is preferred.
- Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60-70 WPM).
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Ability to use transcription software and tools effectively.
