Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into text format with high accuracy and minimal errors.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure grammar, punctuation, and spelling are correct.
- Adhere to strict formatting guidelines and style guides provided by the company.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and turnaround time (TAT) targets.
- Manage and organize files securely and confidentially.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team regarding any discrepancies or clarifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a transcriptionist or similar role.
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 60-70 WPM) and accuracy.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and syntax.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with medical or legal terminology is a plus but not always required.
