Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into written text accurately and efficiently.
- Convert various audio formats (medical, legal, general) into clear, readable documents.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and factual accuracy.
- Adhere to specific formatting guidelines and client requirements.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and turnaround time (TAT) targets.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Use transcription software and hardware effectively.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proven experience in transcription (medical, legal, or general) preferred.
- Excellent listening skills and attention to detail.
- Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 60 WPM recommended).
- Strong command of the English language and grammar.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
