Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-availability backend services for our core products during night operations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot critical incidents with a focus on rapid resolution and root cause analysis.
- Optimize database queries and application architecture to improve speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with the day-shift engineering team to ensure seamless handoffs and feature deployments.
- Write clean, secure, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on the night shift team.
- Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to ensure software quality.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development (Java, Python, Go, or Node.js preferred).
- Experience working in a night shift or rotating schedule environment is a strong plus.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database management (SQL/NoSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
