We're seeking a passionate Cloud Engineer to architect, deploy, and optimize scalable cloud solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation while maintaining robust security and performance standards. This is a fully remote position with occasional team meetups in Virginia Beach.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AWS/Azure/GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Optimize cloud environments for cost, security, and performance
- Lead CI/CD pipeline automation and DevOps practices
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers
- Conduct cloud architecture reviews and capacity planning
- Collaborate with product teams to align technical solutions with business goals
- Monitor cloud systems and troubleshoot complex issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cloud engineering experience with AWS/Azure/GCP
- Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Security-first mindset with compliance knowledge (ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills with remote collaboration experience
