Responsibilities
- Data Visualization & Reporting: Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau and Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.
- Data Management: Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from disparate sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Statistical Analysis: Conduct advanced statistical modeling and perform A/B testing to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical findings into clear, concise, and actionable business recommendations for non-technical audiences.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate data workflows and optimize existing analytical processes.
- Documentation: Write detailed technical documentation and maintain data dictionaries to support team collaboration.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the government, non-profit, or public sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Python (Pandas, NumPy), or R. Experience with ETL processes is required.
- Visualization: Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Location: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside within the Washington DC area or be willing to relocate.
