Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the implementation of high-availability network infrastructure capable of handling millions of concurrent users during the Games.
- Manage the lifecycle of data centers, ensuring redundancy and disaster recovery protocols are industry-leading.
- Lead the integration of AI-driven monitoring tools to predict system bottlenecks before they occur.
- Enforce zero-trust security architectures to protect sensitive athlete and stakeholder data.
- Mentor a team of junior engineers and technical leads, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Coordinate with external partners to ensure third-party applications integrate flawlessly with the official LA28 platform.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network engineering, or cloud architecture.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and scripting (Python or Bash).
- Proven experience in managing large-scale enterprise environments or major public events.
- Valid certification such as CCIE, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or Azure Solutions Expert.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions.
