Responsibilities
- Lead Research Initiatives: Spearhead the development of novel quantum algorithms specifically designed for deep learning and natural language processing.
- Hardware-Software Integration: Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuits and minimize error rates on current generation QPUs.
- Model Optimization: Translate classical machine learning models into quantum equivalents, ensuring high fidelity and performance.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates, fostering a culture of scientific curiosity and excellence.
- Technical Documentation: Publish high-impact research papers and maintain comprehensive documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap for Nebula Dynamics' quantum computing division.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Computing.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in AI/ML research or quantum computing research.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, C++, and Qiskit or Cirq. Experience with classical optimization libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch) is highly desirable.
- Publications: A track record of publishing in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, QIP) is a strong plus.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex, open-ended technical problems with creative solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
