Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and optimization
- Lead development of fault-tolerant quantum processors operating at millikelvin temperatures
- Collaborate with theoretical physicists to translate quantum mechanics principles into deployable code
- Mentor junior engineers on quantum circuit design and error correction methodologies
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks like Qiskit and Cirq
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS + 5 years experience considered)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Quil)
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic systems
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mitigation
- Expertise in machine learning for quantum system calibration
- Security clearance eligibility preferred for government contract work
