Apex Data Systems is seeking a Senior Remote QA Engineer (Night Shift) based in New York. Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and automation scripts specifically for night-time deployment cycles and regression testing.
- Identify, document, and track software bugs with precision, ensuring clear communication with the dev team during off-hours.
- Maintain and improve the existing test suite using Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Analyze application logs and performance metrics to diagnose issues that occur during night operations.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand feature requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
- Perform root cause analysis for critical defects and validate patches before they reach production.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance Engineering with a proven track record in a night shift or 24/7 support environment.
- Strong proficiency in automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and scripting languages (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
- Deep understanding of API testing (Postman, RestAssured) and database querying (SQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
