In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex backend logic and intuitive frontend experiences, working with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and product managers. You will have the autonomy to architect solutions that scale, the opportunity to mentor junior developers, and the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world (with a presence in Phoenix).
Responsibilities
- Architect & Develop: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and cloud infrastructure.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, conducting thorough code reviews to ensure best practices.
- Remote Collaboration: Participate in agile ceremonies, daily stand-ups, and collaborate effectively with distributed team members.
- Problem Solving: Identify technical bottlenecks and propose scalable solutions to optimize application performance and user experience.
- System Design: Contribute to the technical roadmap, influencing architectural decisions that align with business goals.
- Mentorship: Guide junior developers and contribute to the technical growth of the Phoenix-based engineering team.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on remote work environments.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React, Node.js, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Cloud Expertise: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-Starter: Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote setting, managing time efficiently and meeting deadlines without micromanagement.
- Location: Must reside within the United States, with a preference for candidates in or near Phoenix, AZ for on-site collaboration.
