Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits using tools like Screaming Frog and Google Search Console to identify and resolve crawl errors and site health issues.
- Execute high-level keyword research and competitive analysis to develop data-driven content strategies that align with user intent.
- Lead on-page optimization efforts, ensuring all technical elements (meta tags, headers, internal linking) are perfectly optimized for maximum visibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, content writers) to implement schema markup and improve site speed and core web vitals.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as organic traffic growth, SERP rankings, and conversion rates.
- Develop and manage off-page link-building campaigns to acquire high-authority backlinks from reputable domains.
- Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates and industry trends to ensure our strategies remain compliant and competitive.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in SEO, with a strong preference for candidates based in or willing to work remotely from San Diego, CA.
- Deep technical proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to perform advanced on-page optimizations.
- Expert-level command of SEO tools including SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and Google Analytics 4.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into actionable business insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to work independently in a fully remote, high-performance environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
