Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive technical SEO audits and implement optimization strategies to improve site performance and crawlability.
- Lead keyword research, competitor analysis, and content strategy to target high-intent search terms in the government and B2B sectors.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on website traffic, rankings, and conversion metrics using Google Analytics, Search Console, and third-party tools.
- Collaborate closely with web developers and designers to ensure semantic HTML, schema markup, and site architecture align with SEO best practices.
- Develop and manage link-building campaigns to enhance domain authority and online visibility.
- Stay abreast of Google algorithm updates and industry trends to proactively adjust strategies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of significant organic traffic growth.
- Deep understanding of Google's Search Essentials and algorithm updates.
- Proficiency in technical SEO, including site speed optimization, mobile-friendliness, and structured data.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable business insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be located within or willing to relocate to the Washington DC metropolitan area.
