Responsibilities
- Architect & Build: Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance cloud-native applications using modern technologies.
- Code Excellence: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while conducting rigorous code reviews to ensure the highest standards of quality.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior developers and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the remote team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
- Optimization: Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to enhance application speed and user experience.
- Agile Mastery: Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive project momentum and team efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong preference for candidates based in or willing to relocate to the Wichita, KS area for on-site collaboration.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, or Python. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly desired.
- Architecture: Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and database design (SQL and NoSQL).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug complex issues and propose innovative engineering solutions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with distributed teams across different time zones.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
