Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio recordings from medical/legal interviews into professional documentation
- Utilize advanced transcription software with keyboard shortcuts for maximum efficiency
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA/GDPR compliance protocols
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining 98%+ accuracy rate
- Collaborate with editors to resolve complex terminology challenges
- Adhere to client-specific formatting guidelines and style requirements
- Participate in quarterly quality assurance reviews and training sessions
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience (medical/legal preferred)
- Minimum 85 words-per-minute typing speed with 98% accuracy
- Proficiency in Express Scribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, or similar platforms
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology or legal documentation standards
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and style guides
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office setup
- US citizenship or valid work authorization required
