Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 global innovation strategy, aligning with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing and prototyping breakthrough solutions in AI, biotech, and quantum computing
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with research institutions, startups, and industry disruptors
- Conduct horizon-scanning to anticipate technological shifts and market disruptions
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation budget through compelling ROI frameworks and stakeholder presentations
- Champion a culture of experimentation, learning, and rapid prototyping across the organization
- Present innovation roadmaps to the board and executive leadership quarterly
Qualifications
- 15+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or corporate venturing with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of launching at least three market-defining products or services
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology) and their commercial applications
- Exceptional strategic thinking with ability to translate complex concepts into executable plans
- Strong financial acumen: budget management, P&L ownership, and investment analysis
- PhD or MBA from top-tier institution with specialization in technology management or innovation
- Published thought leadership in Harvard Business Review or similar authoritative outlets
- Fluency in English with proficiency in Mandarin or German preferred
