Role Overview
As a Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for listening to audio files and typing them verbatim. We value accuracy, speed, and adherence to style guides above all else.
Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe verbatim content with high accuracy.
- Proofread and edit transcriptions for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
- Adhere to strict client guidelines and formatting requirements.
- Manage audio files efficiently using specialized transcription software.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Meet daily and weekly production deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding project status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven typing speed of 60+ WPM with high accuracy (95%+).
- Excellent command of the English language, grammar, and spelling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and computer hardware.
- Experience with medical or legal transcription is a plus.
