Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio/video recordings into written documents with 98%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict formatting guidelines and style requirements per client specifications
- Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining consistent quality standards
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and clarity
- Utilize transcription software (Express Scribe, oTranscribe) and digital foot pedals
- Confidentially handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA/GDPR standards
- Communicate proactively with project managers regarding technical issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Typing speed of 80+ WPM with exceptional accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transcription software
- Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and medical/legal terminology
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
