Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical/legal/corporate audio recordings with 99%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Format documents according to client specifications (templates, styles)
- Research and resolve unclear terminology using specialized resources
- Meet daily/weekly production deadlines without compromising quality
- Utilize digital tools (foot pedals, transcription software) efficiently
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and feedback sessions
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proven typing speed of 80+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Familiarity with medical/legal terminology (specialty preferred)
- Proficiency in ExpressScribe, oTranscribe, or similar software
- Exceptional attention to detail and grammar mastery
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
