Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio recordings into written documents with 99%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict formatting guidelines and style requirements for each client
- Meet daily/weekly production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Proofread transcripts for grammar, spelling, and factual consistency
- Utilize specialized transcription software and keyboard shortcuts efficiently
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA and GDPR
- Collaborate with quality assurance team to resolve discrepancies
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Minimum 85 words per minute typing speed with 98% accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and transcription software (ExpressScribe, etc.)
- Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and syntax
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional listening skills
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office environment
- Relevant certification (e.g., CMT) preferred
