Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio/video recordings with 99%+ accuracy across medical, legal, and corporate fields
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Utilize digital transcription software (Express Scribe, Otter.ai) and quality control tools
- Meet daily productivity quotas while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Format documents according to client specifications (MS Word, PDF, etc.)
- Collaborate with editors to resolve inconsistencies and improve workflow efficiency
- Participate in continuous training for industry-specific terminology
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proficiency in medical/legal terminology (certification preferred)
- Ability to type 85+ WPM with exceptional accuracy
- Familiarity with transcription software and foot pedals
- Strong command of English grammar and punctuation
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Flexible availability to cover evening/weekend shifts as needed
