Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, identifying disruptive opportunities in AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling breakthrough solutions with 3-year impact horizons
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and startups specializing in frontier technologies
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning to anticipate market shifts and technological inflection points
- Present future-vision frameworks to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage a $5M+ innovation portfolio with rigorous ROI and risk assessment frameworks
- Mentor next-generation futurists and cultivate an innovation-first culture
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or emerging technology roles
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products with 3+ year development cycles
- Expertise in foresight methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi technique, technology roadmapping)
- Deep technical understanding of at least two emerging domains (quantum, AI, neurotech, etc.)
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Advanced degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or Futures Studies
- Published thought leadership on technological disruption or innovation strategy
- Experience scaling innovation labs from concept to operational excellence
