Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify emerging market disruptions and opportunities
- Produce annual 'Future Horizon Reports' with actionable strategic recommendations
- Partner with C-suite executives to embed foresight into product development lifecycles
- Establish global network of futurists, researchers, and industry thought leaders
- Design and implement 'Future Labs' - immersive innovation incubators for prototyping 2026+ concepts
- Secure and manage $2M+ annual research grants for emerging technology initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of forecasting technology disruptions (e.g., AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and strategic foresight methodologies
- Portfolio of published futurist work or industry-altering innovation strategies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex futures into executive narratives
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary innovation teams and cross-sector partnerships
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or University of Toronto)
