Our San Francisco headquarters offers unparalleled resources including a quantum research lab and a dedicated futures simulation center. This position reports directly to the Chief Innovation Officer and offers equity participation in breakthrough ventures.
Responsibilities
- Develop 2026 technology roadmaps using trend analysis and scenario planning frameworks
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify emerging disruptions in AI, biotech, and clean energy
- Produce strategic foresight reports for C-suite stakeholders and venture partners
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-AI collaboration
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-state solutions using quantum computing
- Represent the company at global innovation forums and policy summits
- Mentor junior futurists in predictive methodologies and horizon scanning
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech research
- Portfolio demonstrating published future-state scenarios or trend analysis
- Expertise in scenario planning tools (e.g., STEEP, Delphi method)
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Experience with ethical AI frameworks and responsible innovation principles
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems
- Ability to communicate complex futures concepts to diverse audiences
