Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technology convergence points (AI, quantum, biotech, climate) to identify disruptive opportunities for 2026 market entry
- Develop strategic scenario frameworks for geopolitical, social, and economic shifts impacting 2026 business landscapes
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' with engineers, designers, and ethicists to prototype 2026-viable concepts
- Produce annual 'Horizon Reports' synthesizing global signals into actionable strategic priorities
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of academic, governmental, and industry futurist partnerships
- Translate complex future projections into compelling narratives for executive decision-making
- Architect governance frameworks for emerging tech ethics and societal impact in 2026 contexts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field with 7+ years applied experience
- Proven track record of developing and implementing 5+ year strategic roadmaps in tech or consulting
- Deep expertise in exponential technology forecasting (AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex socio-technical ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in futurist or strategic innovation publications
- Experience facilitating executive workshops on scenario planning and horizon scanning
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-focused projects delivered to market
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from APF or WFS) preferred
