Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 technology horizon scanning framework, identifying emerging trends in quantum AI, biotech convergence, and climate tech
- Produce quarterly strategic briefings for executive leadership on disruptive market shifts and competitive positioning
- Lead scenario planning workshops to prepare organization for black swan events and paradigm shifts
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to co-develop future-proof solutions
- Design and implement ethical AI governance protocols for autonomous systems deployment
- Oversee the 'Future Proofing' initiative, ensuring all product lines align with 2026 sustainability mandates
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability across departments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Strategy, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of translating foresight into enterprise-level strategy execution
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI, etc.)
- Exceptional systems thinking ability to model complex socio-technical interactions
- Published thought leadership in futurist journals or major tech publications
- Certification in Futures Methodology (e.g., CFCS preferred)
- Experience with strategic foresight tools (horizon scanning, Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-proofing implementations
