Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify breakthrough technologies and societal shifts through 2030
- Develop strategic roadmaps for clients adopting 2026-adjacent innovations (quantum computing, neurotech, climate AI)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future-readiness initiatives
- Author forward-looking white papers and trend briefs for C-suite executives
- Design scenario-planning frameworks for geopolitical and technological disruptions
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype 2026-viable solutions
- Mentor junior futurists in emerging methodologies like predictive analytics and trend synthesis
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or trend analysis
- Proven track record of forecasting technological adoption (examples: blockchain, generative AI)
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and weak signal detection
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum, biotech, AGI)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex futures into actionable strategies
- Portfolio demonstrating future-focused projects or published foresight work
