Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, bio-integrated AI, neural interfaces) for commercial viability
- Lead innovation workshops to prototype next-gen solutions in our Austin Future Lab
- Partner with product teams to integrate futuristic capabilities into core offerings
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members on 2026 opportunity landscapes
- Manage a portfolio of pilot projects for breakthrough technologies
- Author thought leadership on disruptive futures for industry publications
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Futurology, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in strategic innovation or technology planning roles
- Deep expertise in at least 3 emerging tech domains (e.g., quantum, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of launching futuristic products to market
- Strong data modeling skills for trend forecasting and scenario planning
- Experience with agile methodologies for rapid prototyping
- Exceptional presentation skills for executive and technical audiences
- Certification in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight preferred
