Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and cryptography applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers to translate theoretical models into functional quantum circuits
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to align algorithm design with quantum processor capabilities
- Research and evaluate emerging quantum computing frameworks and methodologies
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum algorithm development best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex R&D projects
