Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026 technology landscapes (AI, biotech, clean energy)
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligning R&D investments with future market opportunities
- Present futures scenarios to executive stakeholders and board members
- Partner with product teams to embed future-proofing principles in development cycles
- Author thought leadership publications and industry whitepapers
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints focused on 2026 milestones
- Represent company at global future-tech forums and conferences
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, futurism, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of forecasting technology trends (portfolio required)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR)
- Executive presentation skills with C-suite experience
- Published author in industry journals or futurist publications
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic foresight methodologies
