Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen interfaces and autonomous systems
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive technologies before market adoption
- Design ethical frameworks for emerging tech implementation in regulated industries
- Present future-vision briefings to C-suite executives and board members
- Mentor junior futurists through our Tech Vanguard program
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $50M+ revenue impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, neuromorphic computing)
- Published author in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience securing federal grants for technology innovation ($5M+)
- Fluency in future forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
