This role bridges cutting-edge research with commercial viability, requiring you to anticipate paradigm shifts in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology.
As a key member of our Strategic Futures Lab, you'll collaborate with Nobel laureates, Silicon Valley disruptors, and government think tanks. Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze emerging technology trends with 3-5 year impact horizons
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum-AI integration and neurotech applications
- Lead cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and executive teams
- Produce scenario-planning frameworks for regulatory and ethical tech governance
- Represent Nexus at global tech summits (Davos, Web Summit, etc.)
- Mentor junior futurists through our Innovation Incubator program
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Futurology (or equivalent experience)
- Published research in Nature or Science on emerging technologies
- 5+ years in tech strategy at FAANG or unicorn-scale companies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, synthetic biology, or neuromorphic computing
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (horizon scanning, Delphi technique)
- Track record of commercializing breakthrough innovations
