Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics governance frameworks for autonomous systems and generative models
- Conduct ethical risk assessments and bias audits for machine learning pipelines
- Lead cross-functional ethics committees with engineers, policymakers, and domain experts
- Establish transparent audit trails for AI decision-making processes
- Advocate for ethical AI principles in product roadmaps and stakeholder communications
- Drive compliance with evolving federal AI regulations (NIST, EU AI Act)
- Author ethics-by-design guidelines for 2026-era AI deployments
- Mentor teams on responsible AI development practices
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in AI ethics, responsible AI, or machine learning governance roles
- Expertise in ethical frameworks (Utilitarianism, Deontology, Virtue Ethics)
- Deep understanding of bias mitigation techniques in ML systems
- Experience with regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, NIST RMF)
- Strong technical literacy in AI/ML architectures and data pipelines
- Proven ability to influence executive-level strategy on ethical tech
- Published work in AI ethics or adjacent fields
